Hair loss is actually quite a simple process but it can be daunting for those who are affected. Some suffer a tremendous lack of confidence and are almost desperate to start treatment. Others need to be convinced that everything will be fine. They need the support of experts before they are willing to visit a hair loss treatment studio.
No matter what questions you may have, simply call Innovative Hair Loss Solutions on 1300 557 224 and either listen to our informative recorded message or ask to speak to one of our expert technicians.
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we receive.
What is the most common type of hair loss?
Androgenic alopecia, which is a genetic condition also known as male pattern baldness and female pattern thinning.
Is male pattern baldness treatable?
Yes. It is the only form of hair loss that can be treated within ten years of onset.
What causes male pattern baldness?
Male pattern baldness is considered to be a natural process caused by hair follicles receiving insufficient stimulation and blood flow.
Do styling products cause hair loss?
No. As long as the hair product is water soluble and thoroughly rinsed out, it will have no adverse effects on your hair or scalp.
Does wearing a hat or a helmet cause hair loss?
No. Unless a piece of headwear is constantly rubbing against the scalp and breaking off hairs at the root, it will not cause hair loss.
Is a laser treatment potentially dangerous?
No. Forget laser beams that burn through metal and think more about laser eye surgery. Only low-level class 3 Crown Laser technology is used. It has been proven over many years to be both safe and effective.*
What does the laser treatment actually do?
It stimulates the blood flow to the follicles and greatly enhances the effectiveness of topical products (creams) that you must use as part of your treatment.
If I need topically applied creams, where do I get them from?
Innovative Hair Loss Solutions studios will supply you with regrowth products that work in harmony with the laser treatment to prevent hair loss and help regrow lost hair.*
If I don’t choose laser treatment, what are my options?
A wig, medical procedures or a permanent skull cap. Wigs range from the comically obvious to the very expensive strand-by-strand versions in which individual hairs are sewn into a fine cloth former based on an impression of your skull.
This will not be your own hair. Medical procedures involve taking your own hair from healthy growth areas and implanting them into the hairless areas of you scalp. Depending on the number of hairs taken at each removal, the regrown hair could appear as large clumps or as normal hair growth.
The procedure is invasive and very much cost dependent. Skull caps are fitted to the scalp and existing hair is woven through from both sides of the head to give the impression of a full head of hair.
This is the option favoured by some well-known Australian sportsmen.
Can I continue the treatment at home?
Yes, we have treatment programs and laser devices designed to be used at home.
Are there payment plans available?
Yes, we have many payment plan options to suit your budget.
Can I buy online or over the phone?
Yes you can. You can purchase products and laser devices for home use without leaving your lounge room and you can pay for treatment online too.
It’s been 10 months now and I can see the results as the months go by, looking forward to the next 12 months of growth and that moment when someone acknowledges it and notices there is hair.
I am becoming less self-conscious with hair growth now appearing on my head, never ever liked hairless heads, alright on babies heads not men’s heads.
