Hi, my name is Michelle, I’m a driving assessor and 49 years of age.
Noticed losing my hair about twelve months before I got married, which was 2003, I had beautiful long hair half way down the middle of my back. By the time I got married, my hair sat on my shoulders, it was really thin, wispy and I had no confidence left at all. When my hair started to fall out, I could literally grab it by the handfuls, I used to be in tears, knowing that all your beautiful long, curly hair is just sitting on the ground and… yeah, it was devastating.
Being a female and having curly hair I was extremely lucky, my curly hair hid my lack of hair, everyone would say: “oh, Michelle, you’ve got a beautiful head of hair!” and I would go no, I actually don’t, all my hair’s falling out! It got to the point that I was turning 50, I wanted to celebrate my fiftieth birthday with a beautiful long head of hair, so I made the decision two years ago that I was going to come in and see IHLS to rectify my hair loss.
The moment that I walked in, sat in Corrielle’s office… wow, felt very confident to open up to her about my problem, she could empathise with me and said: “we’ll look after you, we’ll treat you like family” and true to her word, she’s treated me like family and worked out a program which was best suited for me. She put me on tablets, which I take half a tablet every day, then used a lotion, we do the laser in house, used all sorts of different shampoos and conditioners.
When you come in for each visit you can definitely see an improvement. Where I originally started with one or two, I’ve now got three or four out of each follicle, and the results that I have today… thank you!
The message that I pass on to any woman that has or is experiencing hair loss? Don’t hide behind it. Get out there, go and do something about it, the results are amazing and you will thank yourself for doing it.
